MY STORY

Hi there! My name is Erica and I live in a quaint 1970's cottage nestled between the coast and downtown area of Savannah, GA. I work as a full-time interior designer and in my free time you can find me in my garden or out on a trail enjoying the great outdoors. Much to your surprise, I wasn't always a quinoa-eating, mantra-citing yogi.

My journey to sustained health and wellness began with Beachbody about 2 years ago, when I had had enough of making excuses for myself. All of the stress and excessive eating, drinking, and general lazing about that came with a high-demanding college degree followed by an even higher demanding career had finally caught up with me. I felt puffy, slow, and noticed my shortness of breath every time I climbed the stairs to my tiny studio apartment near the park. I watched the runners and rugby players alike getting their sweat on while I zipped around town running errands, only slowing down to grab my double cheeseburger and medium fry out of the drive-thru window. I found myself caught up in this vicious cycle -  stress, binge, sleep - and it had to stop, but I didn't know how.

I had been down this road before. Those Monday mornings when you wake up and say "This is it! This is the day I decide to be better, for good this time!" Seven or eight days later, I always caved in and fell off the bandwagon. Always.

I couldn't do this on my own. I needed the support and accountability that came along with the right tools in order for me to succeed. That very week I ran into a Beachbody coach and got to talking. Maybe it was her positive and kind personality, or her amazing testimony to how being a coach had changed her life for the better, but something about her made me want to do better - be better - and lead as an example for others.

In a few day's time, I signed up as a coach and took the first step to a sustainable approach to health. I'll never forget my first morning after drinking Shakeology - I was blow drying my hair faster than ever and was so awake and alert during work. I was like a different person! And in truth, I was. I had made the mental shift towards treating my body like a temple instead of a waste basket.

Since becoming a coach, I've grown so much as a person and have been able to positively affect the lives of others by sharing my journey and connecting people with the tools they need to help them succeed.

In short, the Beachbody community is what brought me out of my bad habits and transformed my every day into something positive and uplifting. I've since built a strong tribe of people who are on different segments of their journey but all reaching for the same end result - finding their true potential.

If my story has hit a note with you and where you are now, or if you'd like to learn more specifics about my transformation story, drop me a line and let's chat! I'd love to get to know you better and hope you plug into my tribe as well as my personal journey.
